Sciacca Today I was at the 64th Anniversary assassination of Miraglia . I do since I was 14 and I 44 ...
Remember Miraglia, his sacrifice, that moment in the history of our city, I think it is a duty for those working in Sciacca: too great is the debt of gratitude (never repaid) that should Saccensi listen to this person and what he managed to do.
I always say, but it is quite true that should be made known to more and better by the younger generation. Today
then I felt a special pleasure to feel that the complex at St. Anna will be a sort of "museum Antimafia" that will house the documents that the 'Association "Not only Portella" managed to get after their declassified.
diverse suggested years ago (unheard as always!) At that comnplesso , overlooking the scene of the attack to Miraglia, could give rise to a sort of "room of memory" that enclose what was said, written and documented about Miraglia ...
I really hope to become half of study visits and by the schools and young people.
But today, returning to Agrigento Mariella Lo Bello, after I complimented you for the proposal that did (the CGIL ask each municipality to the Province of Agrigento naming a street for Accursio Miraglia ed) told her how the proposals over the years I've really done a lot with none had been taken into account !
I proposed to the local TV to create a sort of "fiction" on Miraglia to be run in schools, I proposed that Sciacca bidding to host a "summer school" to train young union unionists ; I proposed to ensure that the ' anniversary of Miraglia could provide an opportunity for each year do point of anti-mafia ... Proposals
always fallen on deaf ears!
As would be nice if the "Foundation" that bears his name was something different and it did load one of these: no problems, no birthright, no "jealousy" that nobody needs!
The CGIL, the Chamber of work, often hidden in these celebrations could start doing its part, as it was for the Monument. But as it would be nice if it were not alone in this remembrance and commemoration of this need!
